Wearable technology has exploded in recent years, with everything from the Apple Watch, to smart headphones, to even smart rings vying for your precious dollars and inventing ways to be useful. But guys, I've found one that surpasses them all. It is perhaps the most useful and splurge-worthy product I have ever laid eyes upon. It's the Pie Tops II from Pizza Hut. Now hold onto your seat, because it's about to get good. These sneakers feature a button affixed to the tongue of the right shoe that let you order pizza without having to touch your phone. I repeat, these shoes let you order pizza without even having to get up. If this doesn't blow you away (which it might not, considering Pizza Hut did something like this last year), the button on the left shoe lets you pause your TV. Yes, it's true. Now, you can take your laziness to the full extreme and not even have to reach for the remote to stop that binge-watching session of Stranger Things to meet the pizza delivery guy at the door. And that design--I mean, it basically looks like you wrapped leftover pizza around your foot. Plus, the nice smattering of Pizza Hut logos all over the shoes lets the whole world know that you aren't a Digornio's kind of person. In case you were thinking this is a joke, it's actually not. However, it is a limited run of just over 50 shoes that will be available for purchase via HBX's website or through giveaways on social media. They'll be on sale the week of March 19th for an as-yet unknown price if you want to gobble one up for yourself. I probably won't be getting one personally, but they have my vote for Product of the Year. I don't even need to see the next iPhone. I like talking about sci-fi, Star Wars, tech, and occasionally outer space every Monday. If you enjoyed this post, be sure to check out my other "Real Life Sci-fi" blog posts here.
