Hey everyone! Welcome to the first week of an interactive Star Wars story that I'm calling "Solo: An Escape Story," since I'm so hyped for the film coming out this month! Here's how it's going to work. Each week, I'm posting a new set of decisions for Han Solo (based on the decisions you readers make from the previous week), and you get to decide where he goes via a poll. Each choice you make affects the next week, and so on. So, without further ado, let's dive in. Through an unfortunate run-in with some bucketheads, Han Solo has landed himself and Chewie in an Imperial detainment center on a metropolitan planet in the Outer Rim. The cell is relatively standard: a set of iron bars separates you from a narrow passageway, and behind him, a three-foot square window lets in a trickle of moonlight. A metal bunk bed is the only luxury they've given you. Just down the hallway, an armed stormtrooper stands alert. Any other time, this would be a mere inconvenience. But the Alliance is soon holding a crucial summit on Yavin IV in preparation for a major operation. As he sits on the top bunk, our favorite nerfherder plots his escape... He hasn't been considering his options long (he rarely does), but the way he sees it, there are two ways out of the slammer. 1) Call for the guard, use Chewie to knock him out, and take his keys. 2) Use parts from the bunk bed to cut a hole in the window. Which route does he choose? You get to decide. Each option comes with its own set of challenges, so choose wisely. Select your decision in the poll below! (It may take a moment to load.) Star Wars Takeover Month is all May long! Stay tuned to my blog and social media for updates on an upcoming giveaway, more Solo: An Escape Story, and talk about the film!
